We’re pleased to announce the appointment of Nigel Bowen as Group Managing Director

Following the successful growth of the business over the past two years (which has seen the company acquire our first landfill site, open new head offices, and significantly expand their processing capabilities),  a Group Managing Director has been appointment.

Our current Chief Executive, Adam Share, will continue to maintain primary leadership and overall management of the Red Industries Group.  The appointment of Nigel as Group Managing Director will enable Adam to concentrate fully on the future expansion and strategic development of the company, including new acquisition opportunities, and hand over more of the day-to-day running of the business.  Nigel will work closely with the existing Directors and senior management team to ensure Red retains its competitive edge and continues to grow the company’s market share in the UK.

Nigel has a wealth of experience in the waste industries, following senior positions held in companies including Augean Plc where he was Group Operations Director, Castle Environmental where he was Managing Director, and Leigh Environmental where his career started in their Landfill division. His experience includes management of landfill and treatment operations, metal recycling sites, aggregates recycling facilities as well as in the decommissioning industry involving both onshore and offshore installations.

Nigel holds 3 Level 4 WAMITAB COTCs for managing treatment; managing transfer and managing landfill operations in hazardous waste; as well as a BSc (Honours) Degree in Applied Science (Resources Science) [Environmental Chemistry]. Nigel is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Wastes Management and is a Chartered Waste Manager.

Adam Share said, “We’re extremely pleased to welcome Nigel to Red Industries.  His substantial industry experience and knowledge will be essential as we continue to grow and expand our waste management business over the coming years.”

On joining the company Nigel said, “I am pleased to be joining Red Industries at such an exciting period.  I am looking forward to working with the team and contributing to the future success of the business and to continue to build on the achievements of the last 12 years.”  Nigel joined the company on 3rd September.
