We’ve highlighted our commitment to health and safety through ISO 45001 certification
We’re delighted to have successfully transitioned to and achieved ISO 45001 certification. ISO 45001 is the world’s international standard for occupational health and safety.
Certification has been awarded through BSI who independently audited our systems and procedures. Certification acknowledges that we:
operate an Occupational Health and Safety Management System which complies with the requirements of ISO 45001:2018 (SSIP) for the following scope: The Collection and management of customers’ hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams. CDM duties include activities as a contractor. BSI also confirms as a registered member of the Safety Schemes in Procurement Forum, that the organisation has demonstrated its compliance with the core criteria for organisational capability as specified in Appendix 1 of SSIP’s rules
We have held OHSAS 18001 for many years, and have now made the transition to ISO 45001. Accreditation to OHSAS 18001 and now to ISO 45001 highlights our commitment as a business to the occupational health and safety of our employees and all who interact with our business including visitors, customers, suppliers, and the wider community.
ISO 45001 has an increased emphasis on management commitment, risk control, and employee involvement. Certified organisations commit to the standards and requirements to provide a safe and healthy workplace minimising work-related injuries and improving overall health and safety.
We’re delighted to have made the transition to ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety standard. This certification sits amongst our other ISO certifications including ISO 9001 (quality management) and ISO 14001 (environment).
Our Staffordshire sites have initially made the transition, with our Brownhills site due to follow shortly.
