What we are fundraising for:
As committed supporters of the Donna Louise Trust and the outstanding work they do, we know exactly how well our sponsorship money is used by them; however we realise that a number of you who sponsor us may not be so sure of what the Trust actually do.
Every penny we raise through our various fundraising events including the Roth Ironman on 20th July 2014, the Zurich Ironman on 27th July 2014, the Charity match between Red Industries & Newcastle Town FC on 13th July 2014 and the monthly staff BBQ’s will go towards a complete, and much needed overhaul of the children’s play area at the Donna Louise, Treetops Centre in Trentham.

This play area is so important to the children and families who use the centre, allowing them to forget about their illnesses and really just be children, at least for a little while; unfortunately due to a lack of funding, the current facilities are old and frankly unsuitable for some of the more poorly or handicapped children.

Hannah Ward Salt, a fundraiser for the Trust explained to us just how important it was for families to be able to use the playground facilities and just what it would mean to them if the playground was equipped with the specialist facilities they need.

After visiting the centre ourselves and seeing just how badly the play area needed a refit, we realised that this is what we wanted to be able to deliver for these brave children and their families. This is why every penny we receive in donations for our various activities will go straight to the Donna Louise Playground Project, we believe that with a big effort from us and the unwavering generosity of our supporters, we can make a real difference and help this fabulous local charity provide the absolute best facilities for terminally ill children.

The refit of this playground and chance to bring a smile to the face of a terminally ill child really is an amazing project to be a part of and we sincerely hope that everyone can give something to help us make a worthwhile contribution.

You can show your support by visiting each of our just giving pages and donating whatever you can, please remember that even a £1.00 makes a real difference.
