As you are aware, on 24th April I took part in the 36th London Marathon with a goal to complete the course in 3 hours and 15 minutes. I finished the event in 3 hours and 41 minutes which was quite a disappointing time personally however, I went into the Marathon with an injury picked up during training and competed against my doctors orders; so just being able to complete the course was a great achievement!

Unfortunately the fact that I went ahead with the challenge has led to further injury therefore I have had to take the decision to postpone my Ironman event until later this year. Whilst this is also disappointing, it is the right decision and will enable me to get back to full fitness again; I will of course keep you all updated on my progress.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their generosity and support in helping me reach my target of £4,000 for the Donna Louise Trust. I was touched by your response to my requests for donations and very pleased to announce that we did in fact raise the £4,000. This fantastic donation will go a very long way to helping the Trust continue to offer the support they do to life limited children and their families, so once again thank you all for giving to this very important cause.

I would also like to thank you all for your continued support.
